"Nefretete"

------ Devon Rex from the Carnaby cattery ------
(18 October 1999 - 20 November 2016)

Nefretete (Neffy for short) is our Devon. She got her name, courtesy of Nick, as she looks like a beautiful Egyptian queen when she sits and stares out of the window. I was tempted to call her Sweep so that we had a "Sooty and Sweep" but Neffy (luckily) won out.

Devon's never seem to grow up and remain little imps all of their lives - she is in every cupboard and out again all of the time. We have even had to put child-locks on the cupboard doors that lead to any glasses.

She has been known to pick fights with "White Paw" who is much bigger than she is. This resulted in a cat fight abscess but she didn't seem to learn. I suggested she has the heart of a lion and the brains of a flea!

She is absolutely endearing and you can't help but adore her. She, of course, expects to be worshipped as is her place as the Egyptian Queen.

Nefretete1
What are you doing down there?.
Nefretete4
What big ears I have.

Nefretete3
Didn't think I'd fit into your hat did you?

Nefretete2
Well - I got up here -
it's your job to get me down!
Nefretete5
Do I have time for a wash before dinner?

Nefretete6
Nice and secure on the cat tree.
