Baby came to us from Robyn Eldering (like Poppy and Boofy). We had just lost a little darling called Saffy (a red Devon Rex boy). Robyn had this little special darling called Baby. She was not exactly what one would call a pretty cat. She had very little hair, and a weepy eye. It turned out she had mild brain damage and an enlarged heart. Robyn knew that Baby needed a special home so she joined our menagerie and lived to a good age of 14 years. She was the 'sad sack' of the cat world - she even managed to fall off the kitchen counter when she went to sleep whilst sitting up! Nick's common phrase was "you're fat, you're ugly, and no body loves you" - meaning of course that she was pleasantly plump, so ugly she was gorgeous and we loved her dearly. She was such a beautiful, loving little one. |
